Sketch Variant Covers: The Riposte! DC enters the fray….

This is an actual Batman Comic with my art on the cover. I could not be happier.

So, unrelated to the daily dramas of teaching….DC Comics has finally started to do the sketch covers….the blank sketch covers, as variants, like Marvel does. The moment I saw it, I knew I needed, NEEDED a Bat-Book with my cover art.

For about a week I didn’t know what to draw. Then, the above happened.

I was so excited by it, I needed to copy it, and do this:

Two Face has to be my favorite Bat Villian…not just because he’s probably the attorney who wrote the Edumentals’ contracts, but because the coin gimmick makes his conduct both predictable and insane. In fact, these comics, which I’ve had since I was a kid, have to be some of my favorites ever:

Really, Bats? That seems kind of unfair. Always has, really.

Although this subsequent issue gives an idea why Bats might want to just crack him on the back of the dome. What is it with Two Face and helicopters? The dude loves ’em.

In fact, I’m so excited by the idea of a Batman sketch variant, I didn’t even take any shots at Jim Lee. Amazing.

That concludes this bonus Tales of Adequacy. Mind your step.
