A Day of Rest in the Adorable Zone.
Not much to say here. It is Saturday, and I am only too happy to not think about school at all. Although things are beginning to stabilize, the preponderance of stupidity in the organization, at the adult level, is profound.
Schedules are at least solid, and teaching is happening. That’s a start.
I’ve been intentionally ignoring my phone for days. It only brings rotten school news. Tomorrow, I will look at my text messages, and vomit with rage.
Today however, not so much.
That’s how this artwork came about. I was trying to envision circumstances where a superhero could just relax, and get done the things that all good Alien Americans should do, culturally. Sort of an opposite idea to the Phantom Zone, which is a crappy place I would like to banish many, many educators to.
On second thought, a two dimensional space prison might be too good.
The original unfiltered black and white pencils are below. This almost demands color, so there’s a good chance I will get around to it. Color is a chore, people.
