No OdinSleep for the Rascals!

You would think evil would be more organized.

Spider-man villains are interesting. None of them are particularly tough…the Lizard turns into a big dumb lizard, Kraven is like the Crocodile Hunter mixed with the “Most Dangerous Game,” Venom is an evil knockoff. They are pretty straightforward, one trick ponies. In fact, above, they are all ponies dressed as Spider-Man’s Rogues Gallery.

The thing is….they are all kind of annoying. Each one presents a small, grating problem, that when combined, is both frustrating and exhausting. when they team up, like the kingpin hiring Electro, things get rough. When they turn into the Sinister Six, the annoyance level escalates to Migraine Inducing levels. When all of them hit in rapid sequence…you wind up with the Peter Parker effect, where life just moves from one little nagging problem to another.

That’s the structure of my past week, the first week of school.

The problems are pretty extensive in their scope, but no one problem is huge. MiSIS doesn’t work, the immunizations weren’t handled, some curriculum doesn’t exist, two teachers at my grade level haven’t shown, schedules change from day to day, and so forth. Those are a few of the numerous issues that we are juggling from moment to moment, not to mention the business of actually teaching class, and managing students. Some things, like textbook distributions, department elections, and so forth have gone entirely by the wayside.

Myself…I am unhappy with it, but nonetheless, since I am trying to “not make waves”, not actively complaining. It makes me feel like a tool, and a sellout, and as a result, made me digitally remaster this old artwork:

The outfit that our hero wore when the darling of the establishment, and Spider-Man wore when he was a total @#$%ing tool.

As the weekend comes up, I need sleep. Lots of it. It won’t be happening for a number of reasons, but the largest one is the stress attached to the small problems that nag me, that look at me when nothing else is around. The trouble that conscience provides when night falls, and you worry that you aren’t doing enough to make it right.

The pencils without logo signage. Can you name all the Spider-Villain ponies?

Hopefully, a decent Odin Sleep is in my future.
