No More Leftovers…!
Today’s post, and artwork, are both pretty much about my lunch.
I love cold Chinese food leftovers, and I love potstickers. The two together, as lunch, is pretty much perfect by my reckoning. There’s not much more to this. I didn’t have pork chop sandwiches, but I did get potstickers, so there can be no real complaints here.
I wanted to revisit the idea of different facial expressions, and ordinary postures. Tamiyo seems to be kind of frustrated with Cap a whole lot, so it’s a little unclear to me why the two are friends. This sketch was all about simple line work, and a minimalist approach to expression. I feel like that came across well with Tamiyo, who looks pretty annoyed.
She’s also holding a lot of stuff, like people often do. Western comic art kind of focuses on holding up huge things, that no one ever carries, like automobiles or safe doors. A person carrying a bunch of kitchen stuff, we tend not to practice so much.
