Unfortunate Mechanical Matters…!
So, Weatherlight-1 is in some serious trouble. Despite being my new car.
Apparently, one of the spark plugs broke inside the engine while it was running. That is BAD. Real bad. Biblical proportions bad. You see, your spark plug heads are designed to be virtually indestructible, since they live in a high pressure environment of exploding gasoline and engine torque. When a tip breaks off, it isn’t going to melt or anything, but that virtually indestructible piece of material will whip around your engine at about 1000 times gravitational acceleration, or 98,000 meters per second.
This pretty much ruins your engine. Completely.
You need a new one.
I am pretty @#$%ing tired of replacing engines. It’s a big aprt of why I bought the new vehicle in the first place.
With that said, I did have a six month warranty, and this is covered under it, apparently. Thank @#$%ing god. I’ll have to pay a small fee, but nothing like the actual cost of the repair.
I’m not a “silver lining” kind of person. With that out of the way, the new engine we have run down for the new car has only two thousand miles on it…so that should be a mitzvah, if all goes well. Fingers crossed that we get it.
The whole thing further delays the actual title transfer, so I now am pretty much lamenting ever officially owning the car. Obviously, that’s my depression speaking, and speaking pretty loudly, but it’s there.
